Patrick Somers

President / CEO

Mr. Somers has been involved with real estate and property management since 1981 and has served as President of PMI since 2004. In 2018, he was appointed CEO.

His professional experience includes commercial and residential facility management and development, contract negotiation and administration, budget preparation and financial reporting, personnel development and supervision. As President, Mr. Somers is responsible for all management and service delivery operations including the direction of an executive staff that is responsible for approximately 250 employees; the management of over 4,500 units of residential housing in Illinois and Iowa; and over 2,000,000 square feet of commercial office space valued in excess of a quarter of a billion dollars.

Mr. Somers also directs Business Cleaning Corporation, a janitorial service company related to commercial management. He additionally provides support to an active acquisitions team and is involved in brokerage transactions for the company. Throughout his years with PMI, his accomplishments include the following:

  • Preparation and implementation of budgets exceeding $60,000,000 of operating income.
  • Administration of revenues of over $60,000,000.
  • Successful lease negotiations and tenant relations with national commercial tenants including, Xerox, Sprint, Walgreens and Caterpillar, in addition to regional tenants such as the State of Illinois, the Illinois State Medical Society and the Illinois Association of Realtors.
  • Negotiations for the acquisition of millions of dollars in real estate.
  • Union contract negotiations with the Operating Engineers and the Service Employees International.
  • Design, development and execution of management and maintenance systems for residential, office, retail, warehouse and detention facilities.

Mr. Somers holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Illinois State University. He is a long-time member of the Sangamon County Board of Review and Sangamon County Zoning Board of Appeals. He is a licensed Real Estate Managing Broker with the State of Illinois.

Leslie Linhart

Senior Vice President / Treasurer

Leslie Linhart is Senior Vice President/Treasurer for PMI.  Her responsibilities involve cash management, budgeting, and insurance, as well as corporate financial reporting and tax filings. Leslie also oversees Human Resources, payroll and property accounting.

She has over thirty years of accounting experience and has held progressive positions with Altschuler, Melvoin & Glasser, Stein & Company, the Equity Companies, and New Vista Investment Group, LLC.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University and she is a Certified Public Accountant.

Thomas Storniolo

Finance Director / Treasurer

Thomas serves as the Finance Director and Treasurer of PMI.  His diverse background with over 38 years of business experience provides a strong base for this position as well as for his past position as the company’s Corporate Controller.  Thomas is responsible for supervising all aspects of the accounting and finance functions of PMI.  He also oversees the Tax Compliance along with Benefits and Retirement plans and, he is actively engaged in company ownership matters.  He is a graduate of DePaul University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Accounting and Finance.  Thomas is both a CPA and a licensed Real Estate Broker with the State of Illinois.

Tony Dichristofano

Director of Software Services

Tony joined PMI in 2001 as a Senior Property Accountant. In 2005 he transferred to the company’s IT Department as a Systems Support Technician where he lead the implementation of a new web based property management software system. He became the Director of Software Services in 2006.

As Director of Software Services, Tony is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company database and related software. His knowledge of real estate accounting, HUD and LIHTC compliance as well as database concepts affords him to provide technical support to all levels of system users. In addition to his database administration and support responsibilities, Tony serves as backup to the company’s Director of IT.

Tony’s accounting background, HUD certifications training and excellent computer skills provide him with the ability to teach and troubleshoot problems for technical compliance issues at the property staff level as well as handling support of financial reporting requirements for the corporate staff.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Governors State University and a Masters in Business Administration from the Keller Graduate School of Management.  Tony is also a certified Occupancy Specialist and a certified Tax Credit Specialist.

Victoria Brooks

Asset Manager / Broker

Victoria provides leadership and oversight for PMI’s tax credit and affordable properies division. Under her leadership, innovation and best practices are driven across the portfolio of five properties and 900 units.

Prior to joining PMI in 1987, she held accounting positions with several commercial lenders including the Walter E. Heller and Company where she was Senior Commercial Lender. Collectively, Victoria has over twenty years of experience in accounting.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Governor State University and an Associate degree in Business from University of Phoenix.

Victoria additionally holds a Certificate in Accounting and is certified in Low-Income Tax Credit Compliance, as well as a Certified Occupancy Specialist. Additionally, she is a licensed Managing Broker with the State of Illinois.

Denise Tietz

Asset Manager / Managing Broker

Denise joined PMI in 2006. She brings a diverse background to the discipline of real estate management having spent ten years in the medical field and ten years in the transportation industry. She began as an Assistant Manager at PMI and her diverse skills in bookkeeping, collections and customer service afforded her a promotion to property manager of a multi-use facility with a budget of over $4,000,000 and a staff of eighteen persons.  Denise was subsequently promoted to Regional Manager thereafter affording her to teach a variety of management skills to other managers at PMI.

As Asset Manager and Managing Broker for PMI’s office in Springfield, Illinois, she supervises six residential properties totaling 822 residential units as well as multiple commercial office and retail facilities totaling nearly 2 million square feet.  Her seven separate staffs of thirty three employees implement combined budgets in access of $9,000,000. Denise is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree at DePaul University. She holds certifications pertaining to Occupancy Specialist, Management Occupancy Review Specialist, Green Property Management, and Multi-Family Property Management and she is a licensed Real Estate Managing Broker with the State of Illinois.

Tommie Brown

Regional Manager / Broker

Tommie joined PMI in 1990 as a Leasing Agent. Prior to joining the company, she worked in the banking industry and for Arkansas State University’s Alumni Association. In 2001, she was promoted to Assistant Manager and shortly thereafter became the Property Manager at a PMI-operated 418 unit multi-family housing development. In January 2007, she was transferred to one of PMI’s tax credit properties containing 335 housing units for Senior Citizens.

In 2009, she received a promotion to Regional Manager while still maintaining her position as Property Manager. In this capacity, Tommie oversees fifteen employees and 637 apartment units. Her responsibilities include (but are not limited to) developing and maintaining property budgets in her portfolio, the preparation of Compliance Reports for Class 9 Tax Credits, City of Chicago Tax Credits and the Illinois State Housing Development Authority Tax Credits.

Tommie holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Arkansas State University at Jonesboro and she is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. She holds a Tax Credit Compliance Certificate and she is a 401k Trustee Board Member for PMI. Tommie is also a Licensed Real Estate Broker with the State of Illinois.

Tammy Cloe

Asset Manager / Broker

Tammy joined PMI in 2003 as an Assistant Manager whereby she was promoted to Property Manager and subsequently was promoted to Asset Manager in 2015.   As an Asset Manager Tammy is responsible for overseeing residential properties including market rate, accessible living and senior subsidized developments. Her regional management portfolio consists of properties totaling over 700 units and budgets in excess of $7,000,000.

Tammy began her career in real estate sales and property management in 1997 as an Associate to Sales and Lease Administration for a 349,000 square foot multi-tenant business center in Decatur, Illinois.  With over twenty years in the real estate and property management industry, her professional experience also includes property management at a variety of developments including multi-family, student housing, commercial and industrial.

She holds a Certificate in Information Processing from Lakeland College in Mattoon, Illinois and a Bachelor of Science in Management from the University of Phoenix.  Tammy is a licensed Real Estate Broker with the State of Illinois and she holds CPM Designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management in Chicago.

Melissa Koopmann

Regional Manager / Broker

Melissa Koopmann joined PMI in 1998 as a Property Manager for Plaza Verde Apartments in Centralia Illinois. She demonstrated the ability to manage a variety of demands, situations, and personalities and was therefore promoted to a Regional Manager in June 2008. In addition to managing the physical and fiscal operations of Plaza Verde Apartments, she now supervises four properties with combined budgets of $6,000,000 and a staff of seventeen persons.

Prior to joining PMI, Melissa served as a Case Manager Supervisor and Elder Abuse Investigator for Family Services and the Visiting Nurse Association through the Illinois Department on Aging. Her knowledge and past experience in understanding the diverse issues facing senior citizens makes her a highly qualified manager. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Illinois University and is a licensed Real Estate Broker with the State of Illinois.

Mary Keilman

Asset Manager/Broker

In 2000 Mary joined the industry as a Leasing Agent at a struggling Class A property in the highly competitive Naperville, IL market. Her sales background, dedication and hard work helped boost occupancy from 83% to 100% in a matter of months. Mary closed over $15 million in leases for the owners during her tenure. Mary joined PMI in 2005 as a Property Manager and became certified as a Tax Credit Specialist to best serve both the owners and senior residents involved. Faced with a budget set to fail, Mary pushed rents for a steady increase in revenue to turn a profit. As the only office employee, she wore several different hats and embraced the daily challenges at hand. She held the position until early 2021. Because of a property sale and family obligations Mary was away from PMI for a short time before jumping back aboard in late 2021. She was promoted to Asset Manager in 2022 and oversees a portfolio of five properties including 738 residential units serving the LIHTC, Section-8, and market rate sectors. Mary is responsible for a combined staff of 16 and budgets more than $10 million. Mary is a licensed Broker in the state of Illinois.
